EASTER CHOCOLATE EGGS

A homemade, sweet treat that’s bunny approved!

Ingredients:

  • 200g milk or dark chocolate (or a mix of both)

  • 100g white chocolate (for decorating, optional)

  • ½ cup caramel, peanut butter, or hazelnut spread (optional)

  • Easter-themed sprinkles (optional)

Equipment:

  • Easter egg silicone moulds

  • Pastry brush or spoon

  • Piping bag (if filling)

Instructions:

1.        Melt the Chocolate

Break the milk or dark chocolate into small pieces and melt it in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.

2️. Coat the Moulds

Coat the inside of the Easter egg moulds with a thin layer of melted chocolate. Place in the fridge for 10–15 minutes to set. Repeat for a second layer to make the eggs sturdy, then chill again.

3️. Add a Filling (Optional)

If you want a delicious surprise inside, pipe a small amount of caramel, peanut butter, or hazelnut spread into half of the moulds.

4️. Seal the Eggs

Brush the edges of the chocolate shells with a bit of melted chocolate, then gently press another shell on top to create a full egg. Let set in the fridge for 15 minutes.

5️. Decorate!

Melt the white chocolate and drizzle over the eggs or use colourful sprinkles!

6️. Enjoy!

Once set, carefully remove from the moulds and place in an Easter basket for a homemade touch!
